Rafa Mujica leaving Leeds on loan could be good news for Ryan Edmondson
The summer of 2019 saw something of a rebuilding process for Leeds United after their failure to win promotion to the Premier League.
Pontus Jansson and Kemar Roofe departed; whilst Ben White, Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah arrived on loan.
Despite having to sell two of their better players from last season, Leeds once again have a very strong ground of 15 or 16 players, with the squad padded out with youngsters.
Mateusz Bogusz, 17, has featured on the bench for Leeds this season and his first-team debut doesn’t look far away.

One younger player who was signed in the summer could be about to head out on loan. Rafa Mujica arrived with lots of promise from Barcelona B but according to he could be set to join Extremadura on loan.
That could be great news for Ryan Edmondson.
The 18-year-old was in fine form for the Leeds under-23s last season, with several supporters crying out for him to get a first-team chance.
Edmondson has two substitute appearances to his name already, although he is a much more polished player these days.
The target man looks like being a prominent figure for Carlos Corberan’s under-23s once again this season.
With Patrick Bamford and Eddie Nketiah ahead of him, it seems unlikely that a first-team chance is immediate.

With Mujica now heading out on loan, however, an injury or two could open the door for Edmondson to show the Leeds faithful what all the fuss is about.
Despite his tender years, his good form last season and in pre-season should perhaps see him get some first-team minutes at some point during 2019/20.
Mujica’s departure only serves to enhance such a possibility.
