Leeds United now set to lose another backroom figure to Everton
TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Leeds United are set to lose another backroom figure to Premier League rivals Everton.
Leeds and Everton will both be plying their trade in the Premier League next season after the Whites sealed promotion and the Toffees became mathematically safe from the drop in recent days.
Everton have already secured the services of Angus Kinnear, who is set to become the Blues’ chief executive this summer, his role starting on 1 June.
Now, Everton have raided Elland Road’s backroom once again, with another individual set to swap Yorkshire for Merseyside in the coming months.

Nick Hammond set to swap Leeds United for Everton
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that Nick Hammond has agreed to join Everton – where he will oversee their recruitment.
Hammond is currently transfer advisor at Leeds and he has been lured to Merseyside by the Friedkin Group – who have already raided Elland Road once to bring in CEO Angus Kinnear.
Kinnear takes over his role at the end of the season and Hammond will be alongside him as part of the new football management team at the Bramley Dock Stadium.
TBR Football sources can also confirm that further appointments will be made in the coming weeks and months.
David Moyes will have some input, but Hammond will be the lead on all transfers as the Friedkins adopt a European model for the club going forward.
In addition, Everton could potentially raid Leeds once again, as Hammond likes Gary Penrice, who holds a recruitment role at Elland Road.
Meanwhile, Everton sources have confirmed that Kevin Thelwell – the club’s current sporting director – has agreed to join Rangers this summer.
Nick Hammond factfile
Hammond has held numerous leading executive positions across British football, including roles at West Brom, Newcastle, Celtic and Reading.
The 57-year-old started his backroom career at Reading, the last club he played for as a professional footballer.
Hammond took over from John Stephenson to become Reading’s youth academy director in 2000, and was appointed the Club’s first-ever director of football in 2003.
In 2016, he became technical director at West Brom, and in 2019 he took on a recruitment consultancy role at Celtic.
Two years later, Hammond was appointed as an interim transfer consultant by Newcastle, before joining Leeds in 2023, initially as an interim football advisor.
