Leeds United now want to sign a midfielder who Daniel Farke has already called ‘a top player’
Daniel Farke has played a big part in the recruitment strategy at Leeds over the past year.
The Whites’ manager has gone after a number of his tried and tested players since arriving at Elland Road.
Indeed, two of his first ports of call at Leeds were to sign Sam Byram and Ethan Ampadu, two players he had previously worked with at Norwich.
Now, Farke is looking at another former Norwich City player in the shape of Oliver Skipp.
Indeed, according to , Leeds are eyeing up a move for Oliver Skipp, and it’s fair to say that this is a move that may be driven by the manager.

Daniel Farke loves Oliver Skipp
Farke worked with Skipp during his time at Norwich, and he was full of praise for the midfielder during his time at Carrow Road.
Indeed, Farke spoke about Skipp during that time, claiming that he’s a top player and a top character.
“This says a lot about how much I rate him and how much I value him, I don’t want to praise him too much in public, it’s more like each and every day I keep on criticising him,” .
“I ask for more goals, for more assists, better passing choices, for many topics to improve – but my actions speak louder than my words.”
“He plays each and every second for more or less each and every game for such a good side. He’s a top player and also a top character.”
Skipp move won’t be easy
Unfortunately for Leeds, this is a deal that may be unlikely.
Tottenham need as many homegrown players as possible as they prepare for a European campaign next season, while if Skipp were to leave, Premier League clubs would be keen.
Alasdair Gold stated that Premier League teams would be in for Skipp recently on his podcast.
“I get the sense that if Spurs were to allow him to go, Oliver Skipp, there would be Premier League clubs queueing up to take him,’ Gold said.
Skipp would be a fantastic destination for Skipp, but it does feel as though he’s above playing Championship football these days.
