Leeds United news round-up: Lonergan leaves, goalkeeper hunt and Kinnear update
Lonergan leaves
Leeds United have The veteran goalkeeper rejoined the club he used to captain last summer as back-up to Felix Wiedwald. However, he struggled when asked to step in for the German and the pair were eventually usurped by youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Lonergan is now free to join another club and it would suggest Leeds are getting close on a deal for a new keeper, with the likes of Angus Gunn, David Stockdale and Jamal Blackman all linked recently.

Keeper hunt
Leeds are, looking to tie up their goalkeeper situation this week. The report claims that Blackman also has an offer to go on loan to Vitesse Arnhem in Holland. It also suggests negotiations with Birmingham are difficult for Stockdale whilst Gunn may go on a permanent deal elsewhere for in excess of £10 million.
Kinnear update
Leeds United’s managing director Angus Kinnear has given an update on transfer proceedings this afternoon. that the club are ‘making progress’ on their new recruits but that things are moving slowly in a ‘tough market’.
Leeds are believed to be pursuing deals for the likes of Matej Vydra and Kyle Bartley this summer but, as yet, only Lewis Baker has arrived as a first-team recruit at Elland Road.
