Leeds United news round-up: Heckingbottom on the edge, bookies favourites and Hernandez the professional
Heck of a job
Leeds United could decide to move on from Paul Heckingbottom this summer, according to reports. Rumours have swirled over the summer that the former Barnsley boss could be let go after just four months in charge. Over the weekend those rumours intensified and, as reported the Leeds board are considering their options.
The report claims that Andrea Radrizzani is unsure of whether he is the right man to take the club forward next season. He is, however, wary of becoming a similar chairman to former owner Massimo Cellino, who was well-known for his trigger-happy approach to managers. His first appointment, Thomas Christiansen, was sacked earlier in the season.
The Leeds manager is currently away on holiday, with his future left up in the air before he left.
Leeds’ owner needs to be careful about his decision this summer, but if he feels that Heckingbottom is not the right man for the job then he needs to consider letting him go.

Potential replacements
In regards to a potential replacement for the Yorkshireman, two Italians have emerged as the favourites for the role.
former Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri and AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi, are the current bookie’s favourites.
Michael Laudrup, formerly of Swansea City, has just left Al Rayyan in Qatar and is also being talked about as a potential target on social media.
Pablo keeping fit
Pablo Hernandez is not resting on his laurels this summer. The veteran playmaker eventually signed a new deal at the club in the summer with his deal expiring. His two-year extension was a signal of intent to play out his English playing career in West Yorkshire.
The former Spanish international The Valencian side are his first club and he is now part of the ownership group at the club.
It is great to see the fan favourite keeping himself ready for the start of the new Championship season. Hopefully, it will lead to another good season at Elland Road for the experienced midfielder.
