Leeds United must wish they had gatecrashed the Glen Kamara party in January

Leeds United are reportedly one of the clubs interested in a move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara. , the Championship side are considering a January swoop for the Finland international who is currently valued at around £8 million by the Scottish side.

There is no doubt that Kamara could be a fantastic acquisition for the West Yorkshire side. However, if they end up having to spend £8 million they will be disappointed that their interest came so late.

Rangers won the race to sign Kamara in January. He had been impressing for Dundee for a while but was out of contract in the summer. That resulted in a whole host of clubs being linked with his signature.

As many as six clubs were linked with Kamara in January. As well as Rangers the likes of Derby County, Burnley, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sunderland, and Celtic all had their eyes on Kamara, Leeds were never mentioned, as they relentlessly pursued Swansea City’s, Daniel James.

In the end, it was Rangers who got their man. , he cost just £50,000.

Leeds must now wish they had been in the race to sign Kamara in the winter considering the massive price-hike his performances and status with his new club has produced.

Unfortunately, Leeds are a year too late for the party and will have to pay the price.
