Ian Harte congratulates Jack Clarke after Leeds man wins England under-20 cap
Leeds United have made a decent start to the season and currently sit third in the Championship as the teams take a break for international football.
The Whites lost their first game of the campaign against Swansea City on Saturday with the Welsh side knocking them off top spot.
One man who hasn’t really enjoyed a good start to the 2019/20 campaign is winger Jack Clarke.
He penned a long-term deal at Tottenham in the summer, signing for £10 million but was immediately loaned back to the club where he rose through the youth ranks.

For whatever reason, Marcelo Bielsa hasn’t fancied him this season. The Argentine has preferred Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison on his flanks making Clarke somewhat redundant.
Despite not playing much for the first-team this season, Clarke has earned international recognition. He made his debut for the England under-20s last night during a 0-0 draw against Holland.
Former Leeds left-back Ian Harte is the agent and advisor of the Leeds wingers and following his international cap, he took to Twitter beaming with pride over his client:
Delighted for making his under 20s debut tonight. The first of many 🏴
— Ian Harte (@ianharte23)
Clarke won’t be overly worried about his lack of game time this season. Tottenham do hold an option to recall the 18-year-old in January and right now you’d say that was quite likely.
Bielsa isn’t known for vast rotation of his squad and Clarke could find it difficult to force his way into contention.

Earning a call-up to the under-20s will do his confidence the world of good, however. He needs to use it as a confidence boost to prove to the Leeds boss that he still wants to play a part during the 2019/20 campaign.
Harte’s company YMU Football have negotiated Clarke a fantastic move at the end of this season. For now, the youngster must keep his focus on Leeds’ promotion bid.
