Leeds United injury concern as 19-year-old reinforcement Leif Davis is stretchered off
Leeds United face an anxious wait to discover the extent of an injury suffered by young defender Leif Davis as the international break kicks into gear.
Leeds United’s under-23s played out a 0-0 draw with their Bristol City counterparts yesterday but the game was soured by the injury in the 18th minute to the Leeds defender.
Davis had to be carried off on a stretcher after a nasty-looking collision with Bristol striker Famara Diedhiou. He came off for Pascal Struijk and the overall consensus is that the injury looked worrying.

Considering that Davis missed the end of last season after knee surgery, fans will undoubtedly be concerned the young talent has suffered another bad injury.
Davis looks like being a crucial member of the Leeds United first-team squad this season. Capable at left-back, centre-back or left-wing, he has already featured in both the club’s EFL Cup games this season. It appears he had become the first-choice to supplement the first-team defence from the under-23s in the case of injuries, ahead of Dutch defender Struijk.
So Leeds fans and Marcelo Bielsa will be hoping the injury suffered by the 19-year-old is not too serious.
