Leeds United fans react to Pontus Jansson transfer rumour
Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson is said to be interesting Championship rivals Fulham this summer. The Cottagers, who have also been linked with Leeds midfielder Adam Forshaw by are said to be keen on the Swede.
. He suggested on his Twitter account yesterday that the Cottagers might be ready to make a move for the Swedish international.
Fulham need to strengthen at the back and in Jansson, they would have one of the Championship’s best performing defenders in recent years.
However, Leeds fans are fairly confident that Fulham will not get their man. With good reason as well. Jansson is a cult hero at Elland Road and is likely to be a regular yet again next season.
Whilst he has been linked with an exit from the club in the past it is unlikely the 28-year-old would make this transfer happen.
A move from Leeds is only likely if Jansson is heading up to the Premier League. The Swede is likely to see anything else as a sideways or backward step.
Plenty of Leeds fans took to Twitter to make it clear that they simply cannot see Jansson leaving Leeds for Fulham this summer.

A) PJ is going up with us this year as an important part of our defence, so why would he leave Leeds anyway? 2) Fulham haven’t got £30m to spend. 3) Jansson plays for Bielsa. So just like I am keen we bring in Lionel Messi to play the 10 role it isn’t going to happen

Jansson has already said many times he wants to play in the prem and if not he wants to stay at Leeds so for me it’s a nothing story unless a prem club come in for him
