Leeds United fans react to Ian Poveda performance in Charlton win
Leeds United celebrated winning the Championship title in some style on the final day of the season, as they thumped Charlton Athletic 4-0 at Elland Road, condemning former player Lee Bowyer and his Addicks side to relegation.
It was a sweeping performance from a Leeds side playing without any pressure, with goals from Ben White, Stuart Dallas, Tyler Roberts and Jamie Shackleton scoring the goals.
Perhaps more than any of the goals, Shackleton’s was the one that has Leeds fans most excited.
It came from a three-man build-up of young Leeds talent.
Pascal Struijk played a delicious long-ball which Ian Poveda took under control before laying on a plate for Shackleton to roll home.
Poveda’s contribution off the bench certainly caught the eye of Leeds United fans on Twitter.
The January arrival from Manchester City showcased some silky tricks and excellent ball control out wide in a wonderful cameo.
Leeds fans are clearly excited about the future for this mercurial young talent who can hopefully go on to become a top talent in the Premier League for Leeds United.

What I love about Poveda on that 4th goal is how resourceful he is with his touches. Too often we see Harrison take too much touches/time on the ball when releasing quicker gives the guy coming onto it more time to pick his spot.
