Leeds United fans react on Twitter as Ryan Edmondson suffers loan setback

Aberdeen have confirmed on their official Twitter account that Ryan Edmondson has returned to Leeds after suffering an ankle injury in training.

The youngster made his debut for the Dons in the club’s opening game of the campaign but now looks set for 3-4 months on the sidelines.

It is unclear at this stage the extent of the damage but the Premier League outfit will assess him and treat him accordingly.

It represents a real blow for the 19-year-old who had been relishing the chance to get some regular first-team football under his belt in Scotland.

Edmondson played the last 25 minutes of Aberdeen’s only game so far this season – a 1-0 defeat against table-topping Rangers on the first day of the campaign.

The uncompromising striker is highly-rated by Leeds and they were hoping to see him get some important minutes under his belt for Derek McInnes’ team.

Instead, the youngster returns to Elland Road where he will be assessed and be part of a rehabilitation program.

Following this news, Whites supporters have been reacting to the news on Twitter and most are absolutely gutted for the youngster.

Edmondson has worked wonders for the club’s under-23 ranks in the past and supporters wish him a speedy recovery.

Here is a selection of Tweets from the Leeds faithful, regarding Edmondson’s injury.
