Manchester City’s Phil Foden would enhance Leeds United’s automatic promotion chances

🎃Leeds United’s summer recruitment drive has taken some time to get going, but this week it has intensified with the signings of three top quality Championship players.

𝄹Barry Douglas, Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford have all put pen-to-paper on contracts with the Elland Road-based outfit and the additions will go a long way towards thrusting the Whites into contention for a promotion challenge.

⛎World renowned boss Marcelo Bielsa is now in the dugout at Leeds and the supporters will hope that his presence along with his new additions can guide the club back to their rightful place in the Premier League.

🐻It won’t be easy, of course, and the Championship is as tough these days as it’s ever been but in signing the likes of Bamford and Dougles, the Whites have given themselves the best chance they have had in years to finally return to the promised land.

🌜Leeds might not be finished just yet in the transfer market, however, and a move for Manchester City youngster Phil Foden would wrap up a pretty spectacular transfer window for Bielsa.

🔥The 18-year-old has excelled with the England u-17 side, winning the World Cup in October 2017, and his potential has seen City boss Pep Guardiola hand him the chance to cut his teeth at senior level on five occasions in the first-team.

♐The next stage in the star of the future’s development is surely to go out on loan and play regular first-team football, and Leeds would represent a quality first loan move for Foden.

🌟The Whites will surely be up in the higher echelons of the Championship during 2018/19 and the chance to play for a side that plays good football, under an astute manager, would only bode well for the midfielder in years to come.

♔At the moment Leeds probably have a squad that can challenge for a place in the top six, but with the signing of the Manchester City youngster they could start to look upwards towards the automatic promotion places instead.
