Leeds United ace called ‘top class’ by Daniel Farke could now leave this summer

Leeds United have had their squad picked apart this summer and another first-team star could now be on their way out.

The Yorkshire side will rue their failed promotion push last season with their top stars leaving in droves this summer after they remained in the Championship.

Home-grown hero Archie Gray was one of the first to leave in a £40million deal to Tottenham and Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter have followed him into the Premier League with deals to West Ham and Brighton respectively.

Wilfried Gnonto is also pushing to leave Leeds amid links to Everton this summer.

Leeds United have now raised close to £140million in sales over the summer, while their only signings have been Joe Rodon, Largie Ramazani and Jayden Bogle.

Manager Daniel Farke has urged the club to complete more signings before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.

But reports suggest a deal is in the works for another first-team player to leave the club on loan.

Leeds United set to loan out ‘top class’ star

Leeds paid £11million to sign Max Wober from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2023, but the 26-year-old has struggled to settle at the club.

He has only made 20 appearances for the club with the Austrian defender spending the 2023-24 season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Gladbach are now working on another loan deal for Wober.

Journalist posted to X, “According to SkySportDE information, Gladbach is working on another loan for Maximilian Wober.

“Wober can well imagine playing for Borussia again, as he is currently not a regular player at Leeds. But: No negotiations between the clubs yet.”

Max Wober looked set for Leeds redemption

After returning from his loan stint, it seemed as though Wober could be reintegrated into Farke’s squad.
