Leeds target Daniel James could be a £3.5m bargain

Leeds United are reportedly interested in Swansea City’s Daniel James.

, the 21-year-old attacker is top of the shortlist of January targets for Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa.

It is understood that Swansea value him at £3.5million and Leeds are willing to meet that price to land him.

Leeds sit top of the Championship table as it stands and a couple of quality additions in January may end up being enough to get them over the line for promotion.

James is a player that should interest Elland Road supporters and he could end up being a bargain price at the quoted sum.

James is an upcoming talent at the Liberty Stadium that already has one senior international cap for Wales and is on the rise.

The left-winger has been directly involved in five gaols in 16 Championship games this season and would inject some extra guile in wide areas to Bielsa’s team.

Leeds would have huge financial gains if they sealed a return to the top flight and investing in January on a few players to achieve that seems worthwhile.

James is a speed machine that would surely improve under Bielsa and picking up the young prodigy could have long-term financial gains.
