Leeds star reacts on Twitter after Harvey Elliott makes Liverpool return
Junior Firpo has taken to Twitter to express his delight after seeing Harvey Elliott back in action for Liverpool as the youngster scored in their FA Cup win over Cardiff on Sunday.
The Reds have booked their place in the fifth round of the competition where they will meet Norwich. Diogo Jota and Takumi Minamino had put Liverpool in front against the Championship side.

But it was Elliott who rounded off the scoring from the home side. The 18-year-old produced a brilliant finish after controlling a ball into the box from Andy Robertson.
Of course, the game marked Elliott’s return to the pitch after almost five months out. He had been working his way back from a dislocated ankle following a challenge from Pascal Struijk in the Reds’ win at Leeds in September.
Struijk was sent off for the foul. And an appeal made by Leeds proved to be unsuccessful. However, Elliott made a big impression on many Leeds supporters by insisting that Struijk should not have seen red.

He defended the Leeds centre-back, claiming that the injury was a complete accident.
It was no surprise to see many messages from plenty of Leeds fans upon his return on Sunday. But there was also a classy tweet sent by Firpo, who was on the pitch that day at Elland Road.
The left-back suggested that he was extremely pleased to see the teenager back playing…
So good to see you back on the pitch, Harvey! 👏🏾

Harvey Elliott ready to pick up where he left off for Liverpool
There were obviously concerns about how Elliott would get on upon his return when he suffered the injury. Certainly, it was difficult not to be pessimistic when it became apparent just how serious the injury was.
Obviously, there are going to be hurdles to clear as he gets more minutes under his belt and faces even stronger opposition. But there is absolutely no doubt that he has made the perfect return.
