Leeds star posts behind-the-scenes photo, after returning to pre-season early
that he has already returned to pre-season training at Leeds United – just two weeks after Germany’s exit from Euro 2020. The defender will be hoping to remain injury free during the upcoming season, after a stop-start 2020-21 campaign.
Koch, 24, only played 17 times last season for Leeds. The Germany international suffered a knee injury in the opening match of the season, a 4-3 loss to Liverpool. He kept playing with the injury, until it proved too much in December and had to go under the knife.
However, he worked his way back into the Leeds team and made six appearances in the Yorkshire club’s final 10 Premier League games. It saw Koch prove to Joachim Low that he was fit enough to be a part of Germany’s Euro 2020 side. However, Koch did not play a single minute for his country.

What has Leeds star Koch posted on Instagram?
It has been just two weeks since Germany lost to England at Euro 2020, losing 2-0 in the last 16. While Leeds players not at Euro 2020 got around six weeks off from the last game of the season until the start of July – Koch is back after a fortnight.
He posted a picture from behind the scenes at Thorp Arch, along with the caption “back”.
