Leeds star branded ‘explosive’ by country’s media after 9/10 display
Raphinha has earned enormous praise from after the Leeds star scored a brace in a 4-1 win over Uruguay.
Raphinha, 24, has been sensational for Leeds during the early part of the season – in what is his second season in Premier League football.
The ex-Rennes and Sporting Lisbon man has scored three Premier League goals for Leeds this term. It earned him a Brazil call-up in September.
Premier League rules prevented him travelling, but he travelled this month. He starred as a sub against Venezuela and Colombia, getting two assists.
It saw Raphinha start against Uruguay in the early hours of Friday, and Raphinha sparkled. He netted twice as Brazil eased to a 4-1 win.

Raphinha tapped home a first, after Neymar’s opener. Then, he netted a third after a Leeds-style counter attack – finishing brilliantly with his left.
a player ratings piece, and Raphinha was given the best – getting 9/10. They describe his display as ‘enlightening’, and ‘explosive’.
“Englightening. He raised the Manauara crowd with sprints, dribbles and fouls. In the first goal, he showed good positioning and opportunism.
“In the second, explosive speed, ball control, accurate shooting. Open on the right side, he offered passing options, moved a lot and created good plays.”

Raphinha shines for Brazil: How long can Leeds keep him?
Handed the no.10 shirt at Leeds, it feels that the Whites are already trying to do everything to keep him happy. That is not an indefinite project.
There will come a time, for Leeds, where they are outgrown by the progress of Raphinha. When will that be? The international break has shortened it.
He has sparkled on the world stage. Clubs all over Europe will have seen his goals, and his four involvements in his first three Brazil caps.
If Leeds can survive next summer and keep Raphinha, it will be surprising. Leeds might fight tooth and nail, but ultimately, the Brazilian is likely to go.
