Leeds should try and tempt Fabian Delph back with Everton reportedly ready to sell

Leeds United are making quite the splash upon their return to the Premier League, taking to the transfer market with some big signings as they try and improve the squad for Marcelo Bielsa.

The signings of Robin Koch and Rodrigo Moreno represent big scalps in the current market, with other potential signings could be in the offing too.

For Bielsa, he will know he needs a squad that is capable of competing over the full season and will be aware that rotation and options off the bench could be crucial.

So, with reports of Everton being set to hold a potential fire-sale, Leeds and Bielsa could be wise to look at bringing back Fabian Delph, who is among the names being mentioned as on his way of Goodison. ()

Delph knows Elland Road well following his previous spell with the club and there is a multitude of reasons why he might be useful now.

Experience, quality, and a voice in the dressing room, Delph could be ideal

Some people in football have, at times, failed to see what Delph brings to the game. And people are entitled to those opinions, of course.

However, this is a player who has . Furthermore, he’s also been at Manchester City and among some of the biggest names in world football. He didn’t seem phased either, as anyone who has seen the Amazon docu-series will vouch for.

Leeds have a tidy squad at the moment with quality throughout. What they do lack, though, is players with Premier League experience.

The current squad is thin on the ground in that sense, so adding some like Delph could help. At 30, he has plenty of fuel left in the tank and you’d have to think he’d be open to returning to his boyhood club.

In terms of signings who won’t break the bank, Leeds could do a lot worse than look to bring Delph home.
