Leeds should sign Tottenham defender Danny Rose if Barry Douglas joins Celtic
Danny Rose started his career in the youth ranks at Leeds United, failing to make a first-team appearance before his switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
His departure from Elland Road was 13 years ago now interestingly he’s a player who could complement the Leeds squad quite nicely ahead of next season.
The 30-year-old hasn’t taken part in any of Tottenham’s pre-season games since returning from Newcastle where he spent the second half of last season on loan.
Leeds have added Rodrigo Moreno and Robin Koch to their ranks ahead of their maiden campaign back in the top-flight but more players will be sought.

The left-back slot is one which could certainly do with reinforcing – especially if Barry Douglas is allowed to join Celtic before the transfer window closes .
Rose is a 29-time England international and him starting the season on the fringes somewhere just doesn’t seem right, considering his vast experience.
Leeds have Stuart Dallas who has filled in at left-back and youngster Leif Davis will also fancy being able to do a job there too.
Rose would not only represent an upgrade on those two, but he’d also be a vast upgrade on Douglas should he leave the Whites.
Those are hardly options to strike fear into Premier League wingers though and adding someone as accomplished as Rose would make sense for Marcelo Bielsa.
Fresh start
Rose would add some vital experience to a relatively young squad, whilst at 30 he’d still have a few years left where is capable of playing at the top level.

Bielsa is a big fan of his full-backs contributing to attacks and the Tottenham man’s energy could see him thrive in such a gung-ho style of play.
Tottenham would consider selling the full-back and as a result, Leeds might get themselves a sound player at a bargain price.
His wages might take some negotiating but the chance to play regular football and possibly force his way back into England reckoning could make the move attractive for Rose.
