Leeds reportedly agree £3.5m fee with Burnley for Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Leeds United and Burnley have agreed a fee for Northern Ireland goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell,

They that the Clarets will pay £3.5 million for the stopper after their funds were boosted by Tom Heaton’s impending move to Premier League new-boys Aston Villa.

The also says that the Whites have already started searching for a replacement stopper, with Kiko Casilla shaky in the closing parts of last season as well.

Finding a reliable goalkeeper has been an issue for a succession of Leeds managers now and Marcelo Bielsa must now go in search of somebody to battle with the experienced Spaniard for the gloves.

Casilla was supposed to solve the issues between the sticks, but his erratic form and dodgy decision-making made an upgrade between the sticks necessary even without Peacock-Farrell leaving.

The Northern Irishman starting promisingly enough but despite Bielsa’s famous faith in youth, he ended up forced to take him out of the firing line last season.

He looks set to warm the bench at Turf Moor now, where he will battle with Nick Pope and Joe Hart for a starting spot under Sean Dyche, who seems to love having an array of goalkeepers at his disposal.
