Leeds prodigy Ryan Edmondson could be Marcelo Bielsa’s wildcard
Leeds United need to find a way to continue their promotion bid without Kemar Roofe, who has been sidelined with a knee ligament injury ().
The Whites have Patrick Bamford to fill the centre-forward role in his place, while promising youngster Tyler Roberts could be another name in Marcelo Bielsa’s thinking.
Izzy Brown and Jack Harrison are creative attackers that could be deployed in an unorthodox central role for them, but it’s unlikely to bring much reward.
Bielsa should consider Leeds youngster Ryan Edmondson as a wildcard option to throw on in the closing stages of games.
The 17-year-old is a centre-forward that is a regular star performer for the Whites Under-23s side and is prolific in front of goal.

Edmondson is a striker that offers a real physical presence in attack, while he’s got decent pace too for someone of his size.
The teenager has made just two senior appearances in his career and they both came off the bench in the first half of the campaign.
With Leeds’ striker options genuinely limited while Roofe is sidelined, it would make sense to draft Edmondson back into the senior squad and he could be effective with late cameos.
Bielsa’s team still has a long way to go if they want to seal a return to the Premier League and need to try find a way to replace Roofe’s goal.
