Leeds now expecting their ‘exceptional’ player to join West Ham this month
Leeds United are reportedly expecting Wilfried Gnonto to join West Ham at some point this January window.
The Italian international has been linked with a move away from Elland Road ever since Leeds’ relegation back down to the Championship last season, along with a number of other big names at the club.
And West Ham have recently been strongly linked with a move for Gnonto, who this season has only started seven Championship games for Daniel Farke’s side, scoring once.
Now, , Leeds expect Gnonto to make a move to West Ham at some stage this month, with the Whites already lining up Burnley’s Manuel Benson as a replacement.
, it’s clear that Gnonto has no interest in playing for Leeds since the Yorkshire side’s relegation back down to the Championship.

The youngster thrived in the English top-flight last season as one of Leeds’ best players despite the Whites going down at the end of the campaign.
Yet for Gnonto, a move to West Ham presents a chance to redeem himself in the Premier League, with the Italian an ideal fit for what the Irons are looking for this January.
