Leeds need to learn from their mistakes against Birmingham threat Che Adams

Leeds United travel to Birmingham City on Saturday in the Championship and will be looking to maintain their second-placed position in the league table.

The Whites are in the automatic spots as it stands and have seven games to stay ahead of rivals Sheffield United.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side travel to Birmingham, who did beat them at Elland Rod earlier in the season.

Leeds lost their unbeaten run at the start of the season to them back in September, as they were beaten at home.

Che Adams was the main attacking threat that scored twice inside the first-half for the visitors and he’s now netted 21 times in the league this season.

Adams scored on both occasions with low driven efforts from outside of the penalty area and was allowed too much space to shoot.

Leeds need to try stick tight to the centre-forward, whether that be through the centre-backs or defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

He is Birmingham’s main attacking threat given his pace and power, but Leeds need to try get some revenge on them after the previous defeat and marking him out of the game should help them achieve that.

Bielsa is a perfectionist that will surely be keen to limit the threat of Adams and will look to set up his defence to do just that.
