The Elland Road faithful will be delighted to see the club be proactive. There have been a number of occasions down the years when the Whites have lost some of their better players after not addressing their contract situations.

Given the events of recent weeks, it would be a surprise if Leeds were not in negotiations with every first-team player whose contract expires in the next couple of years.
So it would make a lot of sense if they are in talks with Leif Davis already. But if they are not, then perhaps now is the time to make sure that he is tied down.
Davis has made a promising start to life with Leeds. He has impressed on almost every occasion he has played for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and looks destined for a great career.
