Leeds must be delighted they didn’t waste money on signing Florian Jozefzoon this summer
This summer, Derby County and Leeds United engaged in a high-profile transfer clash over Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon. Despite a late attempt from Leeds to hijack the bid, Derby triumphed and won the attacker’s ༺signature.
Yet halfway through the season, Leed𝓀s must be deꩵlighted they didn’t waste money signing Jozefzoon, who has struggled at Pride Park to date.
The former Dutch U-21 international arrived at Derby and was immediately by Frank Lampard, but Joezfzoon’s attacking production has been mi🗹nimal this season.
Just 10 of his 20 Championship appearances have been starts, and Jozefzoon has scored just two goals and assisted a further o🎃ne in league action.

For a player of Jozefz𝐆oon’s reputation, who drew plaudits at Brentford and has played for Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, th🙈ese statistics are simply unacceptable.
Derby curre𝓡ntly sit sixth in the Championship table, five places and 11 points behind the league leaders Leeds — whose attack has scored eight more goals than the Rams this year.
In July, Leeds must have been disappointed to miss out on Florian Jozefzoon to their promotion rꦏivals Derby.
Ye✃t six months later, Leeds will be delighted they declined to purchase the underwhelming attacker and will be content by their league performance so far without Jozefzoon.
