Leeds-linked Premier League playmaker sends message to Luke Ayling on Instagram
𓆉Luke Ayling starred on the right-hand side of Leeds United’s defence as captain on Monday night as The Whites performed admirably in their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal – and a Premier League player linked with Leeds has sent him a message on Instragram.
💎Ayling, 28, never played for Arsenal’s senior team but came through the ranks at the north London club. The closest he got to making his debut was as an unused substitute in a Champions League clash against Olympiakos in December 2009.
♉On Monday night, he returned to the club where it all started and lasted 78 minutes of Leeds’ 1-0 loss. Reiss Nelson scored the only goal of the game to win 1-0, but Leeds had plenty of chances to win the match in the first half. Patrick Bamford hit the bar.
🦂Ayling posted on Instagram after the match with social media full of praise for Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa, given that the tireless Whites put in an excellent performance away from home against a top-six Premier League side.
🗹Leeds, meanwhile, have been linked with a move for Sheffield United playmaker Luke Freeman – who played alongside Ayling at Bristol City. claim Leeds want to bring him back to the second tier.
🌞Freeman only joined Sheffield United in the summer for £5million (), but has only been afforded 12 appearances so far this season. He sent Ayling a message on Instagram, applauding Ayling and telling the defender it was “like you never left” Arsenal.
