‘Leeds legend’: Whites fans react to Stuart Dallas against Burnley
Leeds United ground out a 3-1 win against Burnley today as late goals from Stuart Dallas and Daniel James ensured the Whites kicked off 2022 in style at Elland Road.
Leeds had led through Jack Harrison’s first-half strike only to see Maxwell Cornet equalise for the Clarets after being introduced at half-time. But Leeds, who looked back to something like their energetic best at times, were rewarded in the final 15 minutes as Dallas fired in from range, before James sealed the deal in injury time.
However, for Leeds fans, the day belonged to Dallas. The Northern Irishman was marking his 250th appearance for the club and his goal was befitting of a player who has always impressed for the Whites.
Dallas, who has played in a number of positions for Leeds, was one of the best players on the pitch once again. He is an ever-reliable player for Marcelo Bielsa, and his goal was just what he deserved today.
Over on Twitter, Leeds fans were also delighted with Dallas. And there were plenty of positive comments from supporters in his direction.
