Leeds interested in hiring former Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas to replace Daniel Farke as manager
Leeds United are considering a move for former Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas to replace Daniel Farke as manager this summer.
Farke has just secured Leeds’ return to the Premier League next season, when they will enjoy facing the likes of Arsenal once again.
However, Leeds’ owners 49ers Enterprises could consider a managerial change before the new season starts.
Farke has previously been promoted to the English top flight twice with Norwich City — but the German failed to oversee survival on either occasion.
Of course, Leeds themselves cycled through three managers last time they were in the Premier League, all of Jesse Marsch, Javi Gracia and Sam Allardyce came and went before Farke then arrived at Elland Road.

That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Fabgreas is one of the names being considered if Leeds move on from Farke this summer.
Leeds are currently assessing their management set-up — something that was always going to be part of the club’s process after backing Farke last summer.

The club made it clear to Farke that they would assess the situation this summer and Leeds are taking everything into account.
Farke’s recent handling of the complicated Illan Meslier situation is being appreciated as part of the decision.
Meslier has been replaced by Karl Darlow in Farke’s starting side and the manager did talk with senior members of the squad about the situation.
Farke has the support of senior players at the club, however, the club’s owners want to make sure that Leeds are in the best position to survive in the Premier League long-term.
Como are determined to keep Fabregas
Part of the 49ers process has been looking at the options that might be available to them and they have had contract with Red Bull to garner their expertise and opinions.
Interestingly, Red Bull themselves are looking at Fabregas as a possible option to become the new manager of RB Leipzig.
But the former Arsenal midfielder has also now come to the attention of Leeds following his outstanding work with Como in Serie A.
Como are currently 12th after 33 games played and are well clear of the relegation places after being promoted.
On their part, Como firmly believe that Fabregas will remain with them in Italy, but it is no surprise to see him being linked with potential moves this summer.
