Leeds have made approach to sign 26-year-old player who Carlo Ancelotti is a massive fan
Leeds United have reportedly launched a loan bid to sign Everton defender Ben Godfrey, who could leave the Premier League this month.
The 26-year-old centre-back has fallen out of favour at Goodison Park under Sean Dyche, with Godfrey hardly featuring for Everton this season despite once being an undisputed regular for the Toffees.
A player who Carlo Ancelotti hugely admired during his time on Merseyside, Godfrey looks set to leave Everton this month after strong links to the likes of AC Milan and Newcastle United.

Yet , it’s now Leeds who could end up signing Godfrey, with the Championships side making a loan offer to reunite the former Norwich City centre-back with Daniel Farke.
With the Whites pushing for promotion back to the Premier League, Godfrey could be an excellent addition for the Elland Road side despite hardly featuring for Everton this season.
And playing again under Farke could help Godfrey return to his best, with the 25-year-old centre-back clearly good enough to play at the highest level in English football.
Leeds United could help revive Ben Godfrey’s career

Injuries have played their part in Godfrey’s fall from grace at Everton, with the two-time England international now a shadow of who the defender used to be.
Yet at 26, there’s still plenty of time for the centre-back to return to his former best, and a loan move to Leeds could do just that for Godfrey this season.
Playing under a former manager in Farke for one of the biggest clubs in the Championship is an environment that Godfrey could thrive in.
And with Leeds one of the favourites for promotion, the extra challenge of getting back into the Premier League could be what Godfrey needs to get back to his best and to push the Whites back to the top-flight.
