Leeds fans want to sign free agent Jose Mourinho once called ‘incredible’ as Junior Firpo’s replacement
Leeds United are set for a busy summer on the transfer front after winning the Championship title and sealing their return to the Premier League.
Leeds United could do with strengthening in virtually every area of the squad. A new goalkeeper is likely to be a priority, along with midfielders and forwards.
In addition, the Whites are likely to need a new left-back, particularly if Junior Firpo leaves – and this is looking increasingly likely.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Lyon have presented Firpo – whose contract expires next month – with a proposal, while AC Milan are also keen.
Some Leeds fans have now identified a left-back they would like to sign – he’s set to become a free agent, has Premier League experience, and has been hailed by Jose Mourinho.

Leeds United fans want Sergio Reguilon signed
Leeds fans believe Sergio Reguilon would be a great shout to strengthen their left-back position.
The Spain international, who has just been released by Tottenham Hotspur, has considerable experience at the highest level.
Reguilon has played for Real Madrid, Sevilla, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Brentford, and the Spain national team.
One Leeds fan said on X about Firpo: “If he leaves, go and get Reguilon, he’s cheap and got experience.”
Another supporter wrote: “Reguilon would be a classy signing if we could pull that off, might be too expensive contract wise.”
The fan links between Leeds and Reguilon kept coming, with one wondering: “Should Leeds sign Reguilon and Forster?”
Another supporter simply said: “Reguilon to Leeds.”
Leeds are set to have a transfer budget of around £150million, and a free transfer like Reguilon would go a long way to reinvesting that money elsewhere.

What Sergio Reguilon could bring to Leeds
At 28, Reguilon is very much in his prime, and would be a high-quality, experienced option for Leeds.
journalist Gerard Brand previously described him as an “energetic, almost frantic full-back” whose trademark is to “gallop into the area from deep, rather than cross early.”
Reguilon is not afraid to take on defenders, and is also great at providing key passes for his teammates.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho previously said of his former Spurs player in the : “Reguilon, of course, is, especially going forward, an incredible player.
However, Mourinho also said: “He needs also to adapt to the defensive demands of the Premier League. It’s a process.”
