Leeds fans react to Maxwel Cornet reports

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on concerning interest in signing Maxwel Cornet in the transfer window.

Signing a new left-back looks to be a real priority for the Whites this summer. There remains doubt over Gjanni Alioski’s future at Elland Road.

And it seems that Cornet is on the club’s radar. However, a move is currently looking unlikely at this stage.

, Lyon want £20 million for the Ivory Coast international. But Leeds are not prepared to pay that figure for the 24-year-old.

The report does note that Leeds could come back later in the window in the hope that his asking price has dropped.

It does appear that many of the Leeds fans do want Cornet to arrive this summer.

He has done well during his time with Lyon. And he can play in a number of positions, including on both wings.

Some have their concerns about the asking price. But judging by the report, Leeds are not planning to meet that figure anyway.

The rumours have largely gone down well with supporters. So perhaps some are keen to see Leeds change their stance somewhat and make a move happen.
