Leeds fans react to Marcelo Bielsa’s comments on summer signing Robin Koch
Marcelo Bielsa has raved about Robin Koch in his pre-Aston Villa press conference – – and Leeds United supporters have reacted on Twitter to their manager’s comments, joining the Argentine in praising Koch.
Leeds earned promotion with Bielsa combining a ball-playing defender in Ben White alongside more of a rock-solid centre-back in captain Liam Cooper. It is a combination that worked to perfection, as Leeds conceded just 35 goals in 46 games.
But White returned to Brighton and he needed replacing, despite offers that even reached a figure of £25million (). Instead, Leeds spent around half that to lure 24-year-old Germany international Koch to Elland Road from Freiburg.
The four-time Germany international has played every single minute of Leeds’ Premier League campaign, helping the Whites beat Sheffield United and Fulham. He shone against Wolves on Monday, and Bielsa praised him in his latest presser.

“He has had performances of a good level in all of his games. In the first half against Wolves he had a performance above what he has already been showing which was good,” , when asked about Koch.
The defender is expected to start again on Friday, as he remains one of the first names on the Leeds team sheet at the moment. It remains to be seen who will partner him, with Diego Llorente and Liam Cooper struggling with muscle problems.
Leeds supporters reacted on Twitter to the news that Bielsa had raved about their summer signing and many agreed with the former Athletic Bilbao boss. One supporters described him as an “absolute steal” at £13million ().

When it became obv Brighton wouldn't part with Ben, we said, if we found White, we can do it again.
Deep down many will have doubted if we really could and hard to blame them.
Never doubt these custodians.

Bargain of the season I think. He already looks the player, showing a different level of play compared to White dare I say, his confidence on the ball is fantastic. Against Wolves he had 3 players around him and him managed to dribble the ball out with ease.
