Leeds fans react to Charlie Cresswell display vs Fulham
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to laud Charlie Cresswell after the defender’s display in the Whites’ Carabao Cup tie with Fulham on Tuesday.
After a goalless 90 minutes, the two sides played out a dramatic penalty shootout with Marcelo Bielsa’s men edging the spot-kicks.

Cresswell was named in the starting lineup as Leeds deal with something of a defensive crisis. Luke Ayling became the latest centre-back option to move to the sidelines on Friday.
The 19-year-old started alongside Kalvin Phillips for only his second first-team appearance. His previous outing came in the same competition last year when Leeds were knocked out by Hull City.

Cresswell has been a stalwart for the under-23s for some time. For many, his permanent progression into the first-team seems to be a matter of time.
He certainly appears to have moved a step closer with his display against Marco Silva’s side.
No player completed more passes than the teenager (). And some of his long-range passing was absolutely superb.
He also won more aerial duels than any other player on the pitch.
It was not the easiest night for Leeds. They were somewhat wasteful in front of goal, with the likes of Tyler Roberts and Rodrigo not having much luck.
‘Absolutely superb’: Leeds fans laud Cresswell
But some of their young players produced really impressive displays. And plenty of Leeds fans suggested that Cresswell was the standout performer.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Whites supporters were saying about Cresswell…
