Leeds fans react on Twitter to Patrick van Aanholt reports
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from that the Whites are eyeing Patrick van Aanholt.
It would be no surprise to see Leeds prioritise signing a new left-back this summer. Stuart Dallas and Gjanni Alioski have shared the role this term.

But with the Whites looking to progress, it seems imperative that Marcelo Bielsa adds more of a natural option to his ranks over the coming months.
, van Aanholt is on the radar. The report notes that the 30-year-old is out of contract with Crystal Palace at the end of the season.

The Netherlands international – who earns £55,000-a-week, – has vast amounts of experience in the Premier League. He has made over 200 appearances in the division.
Admittedly, some seem underwhelmed by the links. Van Aanholt does not appear to be a marquee addition by any means. And some may perhaps feel that keeping faith with Dallas for the time-being may make more sense.
However, others are much more excited by the suggestion that van Aanholt in on the radar. On a free transfer, he could be a very shrewd signing. And while several would ideally like another new face as well as him, they would have no problem with van Aanholt coming in at Elland Road.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the links…
Van Aanholt is exactly the kind of player we should be looking at for next season. On a free too? No brainer. Saves money for else where too.

To be fair very decent backup but not a starter I think we need an established left back wiv bags of energy and would hope we can find better

On a free would be good, very experienced player and meets the category of being versatile which bielsa wants
