The Champi༒onship’s bottom side asked numerous questions of the Whites, particularly after the break. And that prompted Bielsa to turn to the♊ Dutchman to play in front of the defence for the final 29 minutes.

Initia🎃lly, the 20-year-old perhaps looked a little unsure of his role. But once he settled in, he looked outstanding to help Leeds see out the game.

He seemed to read the game well, and made a couple of excellent challenges and interceptio﷽ns that halted Barnsley’s momentum.

Struijk also played a crucial role in what was nearly ⛎Leeds’s second goal. He played a delightful through ball to Gjanni Alioski which ultimately led to Patrick Bamford having an effort brilliantly saved.

Following the win, plenty of supporters have taken to Twitter to laud Struijk’s displ🐼ay.

The youngster’s most rec🐠ent appearance before Thursday came in the 3-3 draw against Cardiff 🐈City in December, and some fans were not afraid to admit that they were concerned when he was introduced against the Tykes.

But many h♛ave heaped praise on the former Ajax man. Some even sugges🍎ted that he was the most impressive player on show.
