Leeds fans react on Twitter to Cody Drameh’s under-23 display
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Cody Drameh’s display as the right-back helped the Whites’ under-23s to yet another win on Monday.
Mark Jackson’s men fought their way to a 2-1 victory over Newcastle at Thorp Arch. Joe Gelhardt and Charlie Cresswell scored the goals for the home side.

A number of players will be incredibly pleased with their contributions. Gaetano Berardi got another 45 minutes under his belt, while Robin Koch and Ian Poveda stepped up their own comebacks.
Gelhardt and Cresswell were hugely impressive. But it was Drameh who clearly made a huge impression on many supporters on social media.

The 19-year-old was outstanding in the win. Leeds’s defence came under a lot of pressure, particularly during the second-half. And it was often Drameh who relieved that pressure by striding away with the ball and going on a marauding run forward.
When you watch him dribbling and his composure on the ball, it seems difficult to believe that Marcelo Bielsa is not giving serious thought to promoting him at some stage in the near future.
Drameh is actually incredibly unlucky that he is predominantly a right-back option. He is tasked with trying to take the spot of Luke Ayling, who has been superb this year.
But many fans believe that he deserves an opportunity at some stage. And it appears that they are confident that he will make the most of any chance that does come his way.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to Drameh’s performance…
Drameh looks class

Drameh is literally incredible, absolutely incredible, and I’m sorry but mckinstry is not it, like at all

Caught the first hour of the U23s… great to see Koch back. He looked a class above even playing a bit within himself. We’ve missed him at CB and CDM cover for KP. Drameh looks increasingly first-team-squad ready, too.

Very impressed with Drameh in the U23 win today . He s quick and comfortable on the ball . Pity he plays right back instead of left … Looks a good prospect , hope he gets a chance with the 1st team .

Drameh what a player, way beyond his years, same with Gelhardt

The more I see of Drameh, the more I’m convinced he’s the pick of the bunch. Almost faultless.

We can’t finish this season without giving Cody Drameh a first team debut. More than ready.
