Leeds fans react on Twitter as Liam Cooper appears for under-23s
A number of Leeds United fans have expressed some concern on Twitter after Liam Cooper’s appearance for the under-23s on Monday.
Cooper made his return from injury at the weekend, coming off the bench in the goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday. Nevertheless, he was given another chance to get some minutes in at Elland Road against Burnley’s youngsters.

The centre-back started the game. And it may not have come as a big surprise that he came off at the break against the Clarets. However, there was a concerning moment towards the end of his stint on the pitch.
Cooper was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge, and was seen limping in the aftermath. The incident has left some Leeds fans a little worried about his half-time substitution.

Leeds have had an awful run with injuries during Marcelo Bielsa’s time with the club. And Cooper would not be the first player to return to the sidelines almost immediately after coming back from an injury.
So unsurprisingly, there are some fans who are fearful that the next update on the defender is not going to be a good one. There are one or two supporters who are critical of the decision to let him play for Carlos Corberan’s side.
that he was moving more freely as he came off. But there is definitely a sense of worry that Leeds may not be too lucky and could have to do without their captain for another period of time.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to the incident involving Cooper…
