Leeds fans react on Twitter as Huddersfield reportedly eye Carlos Corberan
A number of Leeds United supporters have taken to Twitter to react that Huddersfield Town are speaking to Carlos Corberan as they look to replace Danny Cowley.
Cowley’s departure was announced over the weekend. The news actually came not long after the Terriers had beaten West Brom to ensure that Leeds would be promoted to the Premier League.

And it appears that one of the candidates that they are considering is a member of Marcelo Bielsa’s backroom team.
, Huddersfield are in contact with Corberan, while they are also speaking to Stephen Robinson at Motherwell.

It remains to be seen what Corberan makes of the approach. But there are plenty of supporters on social media who would love to see the Spaniard stay at Elland Road.
Corberan has won plaudits for the work that he has done as under-23 boss. And it arguably says a lot about his potential as a coach that he is now a regular fixture in Bielsa’s lineup on the sidelines when the first-team play.
In fact, plenty are hopeful that Corberan may be a contender for the post the day Bielsa steps aside.
And while they hope that that is not a day that they have to worry about for some time, several suggested that it would be a big blow to lose him this summer.
There are however, plenty who feel that Corberan has earned the chance to be in charge of his own side. And while they hope he will stay, they also accept that he has every right to consider taking the post.
Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the reports…
I think that’s a good move for corberan if he goes. Obviously wants to be a number 1 and can go test himself. Good luck to the bloke

Losing Carlos Corberan, could be a huge blow. Been magnificent since he arrived, strange move to go to Huddersfield….

Do I want this? No. Does he deserve this? Yes.
Carlos Corberan is a brilliant coach from what I’ve seen. I’d love him to stay and keep the foundations in place. However, he deserves this great opportunity and we shouldn’t stand in his way. (Why Huddersfield though?! ?)

Carlos is a great coach, he does deserve to be a first team manager after bringing the U23 lads in. Although after 1 season in the prem you’d expect him to be bielsa’s successor. For me a no brained situation, wait one year and see what happens.

Ahhh I’m gutted about this. Got some real potential and experience though, if he wants it all the best to him!

Depends, he could be a natural successor to Bielsa, but maybe its better for him to get some exp as a 1st team coach first before actually taking the reins with us. We all thought Pep Clotet would be a great 1st team coach and he hasnt pulled up many trees

So that will be down to him. Really, really hope he stays and continues to be a vital part of this great rebuild. I suppose it depends on his ambition. Two very different challenges.
— Bielsa for Premier? (@aclr1972)
Hope he stays. Thought he was being trained to take over from Bielsa one day?
