Leeds fans react as Tottenham star Jack Clarke could reportedly eyed by four Championship sides
Tottenham star Jack Clarke is being reportedly eyed by four Championship clubs ahead of January – and Leeds fans have responded to the news.
Clarke, 20, has endured a tricky time at Tottenham – ever since his £10million move from Leeds. He has played just four times at senior level.
Instead, he has been a regular for the club’s Under-23 side. But it is a world away from the initial form at Leeds that first earned him a move to Spurs.
That first season saw Clarke play 25 times under Marcelo Bielsa, scoring a beautiful solo goal against Aston Villa in the incredible 3-2 comeback win.
Clarke also netted a winner against Sheffield United, a win that proved crucial in Leeds qualifying for the play-off places that season.
Since then, he has been on loan three times. Back to Leeds, to QPR and then to Stoke – but he has failed to show at any time, why he cost £10million.
What do Leeds fans think as Clarke reportedly set to leave Tottenham?
A fourth loan away from Spurs is likely, with saying Wayne Rooney wants him at Derby. Luton, Barnsley and Millwall, are also keen.
Even with Antonio Conte in charge, Clarke is unlikely to have a chance of breaking into the senior side. A loan is much-needed for the winger.
