Carvalho, 18, started for Fulham on Sunday afternoon as the Cottagers drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough. It was just his seventh first-team outing for Fulham, having clocked up six outings for the senior team last term. He even scored in the Premier League last season, in a 3-1 loss to Southampton.

His breakthrough into the first team comes after some stunning stats for Fulham’s second string. In 39 games for the Under-23 side, he has netted 16 goals and laid on six assists. He is naturally a number 10 but can play on the flanks and even as a second striker. But his contract situation is in doubt.
The Sun’s print edition says that Leeds, West Ham and Norwich are all keen – with Carvalho rejecting a new deal at Fulham. His current deal expires next summer. So, a move this summer is a real possibility and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports – urging Carvalho to sign.
