Leeds fans react as Bailey-Peacock Farrell concedes three goals against the Netherlands

Bailey Peacock-Farrell failed to keep out The Netherlands on Thursday night as Ronald Koeman’s side came from behind to win 3-1 against Northern Ireland in Rotterdam – and Leeds United fans have reacted to the goalkeeper’s display.

Peacock-Farrell, 22, left Leeds in the summer to join Premier League side Burnley after clocking up 41 appearances for the Whites. Leeds bought Kiko Casilla in January from Real Madrid, leaving the Middlesbrough youth player on the bench.

that Burnley paid £3.5million for Peacock-Farrell, but the Darlington-born stopper is yet to make his debut for Burnley – managing to get on the bench once in Burnley’s 3-1 loss to Sunderland in the Carabao Cup.

He is third choice alongside Nick Pope and Joe Hart at Burnley, but he remains first choice for his country. Peacock-Farrell made his 12th appearance for Northern Ireland, but could not prevent the Netherlands from winning 3-1.

Stuart Dallas laid on an assist as Josh Magennis put Northern Ireland ahead, but a brace from Memphis Depay and a goal from substitute Luuk de Jong saw Netherlands claim all three points. Peacock-Farrell could have done better with de Jong’s goal.

Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to Peacock-Farrell’s display, with many criticising the stopper as there is still a bad taste in the mouth following his exit to Burnley. Some also questioned his time-wasting, which saw him booked after 53 minutes.
