Leeds fans implore Bielsa to stick with Pascal Struijk
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to implore Marcelo Bielsa to stick with Pascal Struijk on Saturday despite the positive news on Liam Cooper.
Struijk was the player to come in as Cooper served a three-match ban following his red card against Manchester City.

After a tricky day at Brighton, many would have been forgiven for assuming that Cooper would come straight back into the side for the clash with Spurs.
However, the skipper missed out once again as he had a minor knock. And in his absence, Leeds produced an outstanding display, with Struijk once again shining alongside Diego Llorente.

And he has left Bielsa with a dilemma. Ahead of Saturday’s game with Burnley, Bielsa confirmed that Cooper is back in contention (via ). He also went on to suggest that he is yet to decide who will start against the Clarets.
Llorente looks to be a safe bet to be in the side given his recent form. But on the left-hand side, the decision looks tougher.
But for many, Struijk deserves to keep his place. He has been a revelation this season. And his partnership with Llorente is seemingly blossoming into something hugely impressive.
Cooper himself has been superb. But several have suggested that Struijk is ahead in the pecking order right now.
With that in mind, here is what some of the fans were saying about the youngster after Bielsa’s comments…
I think he should have to earn his place back now. Especially after suspension. Struijk deserves his place after playing very well

Bielsa if you’re reading this. Do not drop Struijk for Cooper. Not under any circumstances. Struijk has been incredible lately, taking him out now would be a massive mistake.

Cooper fit, does he start over struijk? Personally for me its a no. Struijk and llorente havent really put a foot wrong.

The way Struijk and Llorente are performing at the moment I don’t see his you could possibly drop either. And I personally think Koch is above him now in the pecking order too. It’s a nice problem to have though for a change!!

I honestly don’t see how Bielsa drops Struijk. Cooper is the club captain but Struijk has been impeccable since stepping up and we’ve looked far better at the back…

I’m fully on the Struijk train. He’s levels above

I agree struijk much better option
