Leeds fans get glimpse of pair who may form exciting future partnership

It has been a notable week for Leeds United with Marcelo Bielsa’s side winning two games in the last seven days and moving 11 points clear of the Championship’s third place team.

🍒But it was also notable with Bielsa handing out first-team debuts to two different players within the club’s academy.

♍Oliver Casey got the chance to feature during the latter stages of Leeds’s win over Huddersfield at the weekend. The youngster looked composed on the ball, and helped the Whites see the game out.

ܫAnd it was Pascal Struijk’s turn on Tuesday. The Dutchman was brought on as stoppage-time loomed in the victory against Hull. He was less involved than Casey, but his introduction was certainly a positive sign.

𒈔And perhaps there is reason to believe that Leeds fans have just got their first glimpse of the players who could form an exciting future partnership at the heart of the Whites defence.

🍌Leeds do not have a large group of options at the back. So it is not out of the question that both men could feature on a number of occasions before the campaign concludes.

ꩲAnd perhaps they have an opportunity to push towards securing a regular spot in the team over the coming years.
