Leeds fans discuss Tyler Roberts as report hints at January exit
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Tyler Roberts’s future following reports linking the forward with the Elland Road exit.
Roberts has struggled to force his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans this season. The 21-year-old has made just two Premier League starts, with a further six appearances coming from the bench.

He had not featured in Leeds’s previous three games before the weekend. And he was not involved in the squad at all for the trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
Bielsa claimed that Roberts was unavailable when asked about the Wales international (via ).

And it appears that he could now be on the move in the near future. that Bournemouth are monitoring the £2.5 million attacker.
The report does not make it clear whether he could leave on loan or on a permanent basis. And of course, it is not yet known whether Bielsa would be willing to let him leave at all.
It does appear that some Leeds fans would be happy to see Roberts move on. He has struggled to live up to expectations during his time with the Whites, whether that be due to injury or the form of others.
Some have suggested that a loan would be smart as it is too soon to write him off. But it does seem that others would not be against a permanent sale if a good offer comes in.
And there was more than one supporter who suggested that they would love a swap deal involving former Whites youngster Lewis Cook almost five years after his £6 million exit ().
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the links…
He needs games and I really can’t see him getting any at Leeds right now. A loan would be good for him surely, especially to a team which is doing well

Swap deal for Lewis Cook anyone?

Would take for a swap with Lewis Cook if an option

I wouldn’t sell Roberts, only loan him out.
Kid is still only 21 and he’s a full international

hear me out, swap deal roberts for Lewis cook

I’ve always felt Roberts doesn’t fit Bielsa’s style. He’s not a 10 and not the type of striker he covets. I also don’t think he has the same work ethic as most of the squad either.

If Roberts does leave on loan I hope we are planning on bringing someone in the bench is pretty weak as it is
