Leeds fans demand Ryan Edmondson gets chance against Arsenal

Leeds United travel to Premier League outfit Arsenal on Monday in the FA Cup third round – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have asked for youngster Ryan Edmondson to get a chance.

There are some Whites supporters who want to see the 18-year-old promoted to the senior team for the first time this season.

Edmondson is a highly-rated striker that regularly impresses in the Under-23s side and is tipped for a big future.

The teenager played two first-team games in 2018 off the bench for the Yorkshire giants, but failed to get an opportunity last year and will hope 2020 can be a stepping stone for him,

Marcelo Bielsa’s squad is now short of a forward option following Eddie Nketiah’s return to Arsenal from a loan spell.

That leaves Patrick Bamford as the sole option in attack, while the likes of Tyler Roberts of Jack Harrison could slot into a central role if required.

After a hectic fixture list in the Championship, it would be no surprise to see Bielsa make some rotations to freshen it up in the cup.

But they are travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal and it’s a high-profile game where they will want to impress.
