Leeds fans criticise Leif Davis after mistake in 5-1 win over Tadcaster Albion
Leeds United earned a comfortable 5-1 win over Tadcaster Albion on Wednesday night in a pre-season friendly, largely thanks to a Ryan Edmondson hat-trick – but some Leeds fans have criticised defender Leif Davis.
The Whites dominated from start to finish, as Edmondson found the back of the net three times. Workaholic Robbie Gotts also got on the score sheet, while Jack Clarke executed a superb finish after cutting in from the right flank.
But Leeds did concede at the start of the second half. Left-back Davis looked to play the ball back to trialist goalkeeper – believed to be former Sunderland stopper Max Johnstone.

However, Jake Day got on the end of Davis’ under-hit pass and found the back of the net, nutmegging Johnstone in the process. It was the highlight of a somewhat below-par display from the Leeds 19-year-old.
The left-back managed five appearances for Leeds’ first team last season, making his debut in the enthralling 3-2 win over Aston Villa that saw the Whites come from behind to win in the final moments.
Leeds United fans reacted on Twitter to Davis’ display on Wednesday night in a side that also boasted Matuesz Klich, Gjanni Alioski, Helder Costa and Clarke – and many have slammed the youngster.
Davis made an error and imo did just OK vs a low level opponent
White. Gotts Alioski. White. Clarke did decent
Couldn't compare to aus game completely different
11 minor injuries at TA which again points the finger at double sessions

Not remotely his fault! Davis has been woeful in these two games especially considering he made first team appearances last year
