Leeds fans buzzing as club confirm signing of Diego Llorente
Leeds United announced the signing of defender Diego Llorente on Thursday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter went wild over the announcement.
The Whites confirmed on their that they have signed the Spain international from La Liga club Real Sociedad.
He’s penned a four-year deal at Elland Road and joined for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have not mucked around since they were promoted back to the Premier League and Llorente becomes the latest impressive addition made to the squad.
The Yorkshire giants had already signed international duo Rodrigo and Robin Koch, with the latest high-profile signing proving they intend to stay in the top-flight.

Llorente, aged 27, has been a proven centre-back in the Spanish top-flight in recent years and on paper looks like he’s a tremendous capture.
The ball-playing centre-back is the second defender to arrive alongside Koch and Leeds have moved quickly to make up for the loss of Ben White, who was influential in promotion last season but has returned to parent club Brighton.
