Leeds fans blown away by Kyle Bartley gesture on final day
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to laud Kyle Bartley after the centre-back produced an amazing gesture on the final day of the season at Elland Road.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side signed off in some style after an amazing first campaign back in the Premier League. They beat West Brom 3-1 to secure ninth spot.

However, the result was secondary as Leeds fans looked to send both Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez off in some style.
It was announced during the week that the pair would leave the Whites this summer. And Bielsa ensured that they would get the best send-off possible, including both in the starting lineup and taking them off to an incredible reception with 20 minutes remaining.

Understandably, all of their teammates embraced Berardi and Hernandez as they left the field. But there was also an opposition player who made sure to reach out to the pair before they vacated the stage.
Bartley, of course, played alongside both men when he spent a year on loan at Leeds earlier in his career.
The centre-back was an incredibly popular signing amongst the supporters. So it was no surprise that his gesture pleased so many on social media.
Both Berardi and Hernandez were in the other half when they started walking off the field, so Bartley must have seemingly gone some way to pay tribute to the two Leeds players.
Here is what some of the fans were saying about Bartley’s actions…
