Leeds duo Adam Forshaw and Mateusz Klich need to be on their toes

Leeds United pair Adam Forshaw and Mateusz Klich have been fixed in the team recently , starting every single one of the opening six league games this season.

The midfield duo have been favoured by manager Marcelo Bielsa and help form a solid combination alongside Kalvin Phillips in the centre of the park.

Forshaw, 27, has played every minute in the league so far and has caught the eye for his all-action approach.

Meanwhile, 29-year-old Klich is a box-to-box midfielder with immense energy and has proved particularly last season what a goal threat he can be.

Both look fairly settled in the team at Elland Road as it stands, but perhaps need to be on their toes and try raise their game an extra five per cent after the international break.

Leeds welcomed back Tyler Roberts from injury on Monday night for the first time, as he played 45 minutes for the club’s Under-23s side in a draw against Crystal Palace.

The 20-year-old may take some time to get back to full fitness, but he was a crucial player for Bielsa’s team last season and will inject some real quality to the XI,

He’s an attacking midfielder that likes to play in a central role behind the striker, something he’s done before for the Yorkshire giants to great effect.

Leeds found great success last season with Roberts playing just in front of a duo of Klich and Phillips.

If Roberts can rediscover form and fitness over the next few weeks, he will surely be banging down the door to force his way back into the side as he’s a goal threat and can be a real handful in the Championship.

Klich or Forshaw would surely be in danger of dropping out if Bielsa considers a change, so the increase in competition should keep them on their toes.
