Leeds can reportedly sign Justin Lonwijk for just £350k, and it would be a bargain
Leeds United are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing PSV Eindhoven wonderkid Justin Lonwijk with his contract set to expire – and new reports have indicated he would cost just £350,000.

Lonwijk is already featuring regularly for PSV’s Under-21 side in the second tier of Dutch football. He has scored three goals in nine appearances for the second string this season.
But his current contract situation has alerted Roma, Leeds and Frankfurt ahead of a possible move. All three clubs can sign him on a Bosman transfer, but compensation would be required under FIFA’s rulings.

For a player of Lonwijk’s potential and current ability, the six-figure fee is both easily attainable and a bargain. He already has nine Under-19 Netherlands caps, as well as being able to play anywhere in midfield.
All signs suggest that he would become an instant impact in Leeds’ reserve side, alongside the likes of Pascal Struijk, Aapo Halme, Jordan Stevens, Jack Clarke, Leif Davis and Mateusz Bogusz.
Leeds have recently shown that bringing in young players from European clubs can prove dividends. Halme, Bogusz, Struijk, Hugo Diaz, Kun Temenuzhkov and more are all impressing, and on the verge of first-team football.
For £350,000, then, Leeds simply have to sign Lonwijk if they can convince him to choose Yorkshire over Germany and Rome.
